Help Us Re-Open St. Johns

St. Johns Retirement Village has served our community's elderly for over 55 years.

Join in our efforts to save our beloved senior care facility.

Our mission to re-open St. Johns Retirement Village.

On behalf of our community and the elderly in need of a secure, compassionate and well managed senior health facility to provide multi-levels of care, you are invited to join our group of concerned citizens in saving St. John’s Retirement Village as an assisted living, senior care residence and dementia care facility, for future generations of our Yolo County seniors.

St. John’s Retirement, or The Village, has served Yolo County for over 55 years since its inception through the generous donation of land and funds from the Stoll Family. It is temporarily closed due to the impact on revenue and staffing from the COVID pandemic.  A new Board and Advisory team, and Friends of St. John's Retirement Village are working together to re-open The Village to provide much needed housing for our community's seniors.

The critical need of residential assisted living units in Yolo County is indisputed. The Village consistently had a waiting list for its 32 Personal Care units, the 16 unit Dementia and 16 unit Alzheimer manors. The independent living facilities, consisting of 30 cottage units and 14 apartments were also available to serve our senior citizens.

The U.S. Census Bureau points to 2030 as a milestone year in which older people will outnumber children for the first time in history. Census Bureau data also estimates that one in every five Americans will be retirement age by that year. And beyond that, come 2035 some 78 million people will be over 65, while 76.7 million will be 18 or younger.

Your donation will be tax deductible.
